About
Annie Dreshfield is a writer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. For the last decade, she’s worked in communications and marketing for high-growth startups in Silicon Valley. She is currently the Senior Director of Public Relations and Strategic Communications at HomeLight. In 2019, she was recognized by the Public Relations Society of America as the PR Professional of the Year in San Francisco.
Annie received a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Scripps College. Her honors thesis explored online writing communities as spaces for identity formation, collaborative creativity, and empowerment. It won the Scripps College Writing Program Senior Thesis Award, which recognizes the eloquence and scholarly merit of a writing major’s senior thesis.
When she’s not ghostwriting for tech executives or working with journalists, she’s querying her upmarket fiction manuscript and working with the talented writers in her two critique groups, Catapult, and the San Francisco Writers Grotto.
Outside of work and writing, you can find her riding dressage and jumping horses in the hills overlooking the Bay.
